Executive Team

Bill McSherry, Chairman & CEO

Mr. McSherry is a corporate turnaround expert. As a former partner of the Hiller Group, Mr. McSherry scored major successes such as York Air Conditioning, Bekins Moving and Storage, and the Crocker Bank, which he helped restructure for growth and profitability by means of M&A, R&D, and increased revenue. Previously, he worked in the defense electronics industry as CFO for ESL Corporation, as a CPA for Coopers & Lybrand, and served as a nuclear engineer in the US Submarine Fleet.

Ted Blackmon, President and CTO

Dr. Blackmon has a unique combination of entrepreneurial skills and technology expertise. He is an expert in distributed computing, 3D visualization, and software integration architectures for real-time applications. Prior to founding Reality Capture Technologies (now Common Point, Inc.), Dr. Blackmon was employed at the NASA Ames Research Center, where he led the development of several mission-critical applications, including software used for the Mars Pathfinder mission and the Chernobyl remediation effort. Prior to joining NASA, Dr. Blackmon successfully operated a technology consulting business focused on providing integration and visualization software solutions for large engineering and construction firms.

Andy Osborne, Vice President – Sales and Marketing

Mr. Osborne has been involved in the process industries for over 29 years, with the last 25 relating to sales and marketing of engineering software. An Engineering student by background, Mr. Osborne realized the potential of the use of technology to streamline engineering work processes during his time working for Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI Plc). Since then Mr. Osborne has worked for companies deploying technologies in areas such as as-built data capture, CAD, document management, information management and process plant design including solutions for FEED, detailed design, fabrication and construction and operations and maintenance. Most recently, Mr. Osborne was providing Sales and Marketing consultancy to companies following his tenure as Commercial Director for Alias Limited, manufacturers of ISOGEN, I-Sketch and SPOOLGEN.

Dr. Martin Fischer Chief Scientist

Dr. Fischer is a Professor at Stanford University in Construction Engineering & Management, Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering and is Director of the Center for Integrated Facility Engineering at Stanford, the preeminent industry-funded center for construction technology research. He has provided consulting services to contractors and owners in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, and has worked on construction information technologies for the past fifteen years. As Chief Scientist at Common Point, Dr. Fischer provides consultations for clients on the implementation of 4D solutions to improve the productivity of their capital projects.
